Creating Assets
I have uploaded some files, but they do not appear in the import folder, or only a part of it is imported.
Assets are only displayed if the upload was successful. Before you click , you can view incomplete uploads in the Upload dialog on the Failed... tab. Hover the mouse over the red exclamation mark behind each listed file name to get initial information about the cause of the error. Click ⋮ More functions > in the Import window to get a detailed list.
The upload may have failed for the following reasons:
-
The import of a file format or file extension that is not supported
-
The import of a file with an invalid file size (0 KB)
-
The detection of a file that is a duplicate of an existing asset. A link to the detailed view of the corresponding asset that already exists in the Media Pool is provided. If you have the relevant authorization, you can open the detailed view of each relevant asset directly.
-
The import of a document with invalid fonts (when the font check is activated)
-
Missing linked images in InDesign file uploads
-
The detection of linked images that are duplicates of existing assets
I have uploaded 425 images, but how can I select them all at once?
In the past, a maximum of 200 assets could be edited simultaneously in one session. Now you can edit an unlimited number of files simultaneously when importing and searching.
-
First open the area in which your assets are listed.
This is either an import folder or the result of an asset search.
-
Now select all the assets you wish to edit. You can start selecting by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the (+) icon of the first asset.
-
Scroll to the end of the list and click on the (+) icon on the last asset again while holding down the Shift key.
-
Once all the desired assets have been selected, you can now make your edits to the assets.
This is done in the search via the MENU… button above the view. You have other options in an import folder. See Import Area.
Note
Editing a large number of selected files at the same time may take longer than usual to open menus and apply and save changes.
